Horse Bio
“Jet” is one of the most easy going horses I’ve ever thrown a leg over. I tease that he was born bomb proof because seemingly nothing riles him. He rides the same whether it’s a cold snowy morning or a hot summer day. He spent two summers loose on the range learning how to handle himself in the mountains. He has moved and sorted cows and is not bothered by rambunctious border collies. You can take off after a runaway cow and then gear him back down to a walk with no prancing in between. He will lead or follow on a trail and most importantly can separate from the group without causing a fuss. You can throw a rope off of him, drag logs, carry a flag, cross water and bridges, all of the necessary things to make a great ranch versatility horse. He has excellent ground manners, has a dog like personality, takes his leads, side passes, and with an apt rider can be ridden bareback in a halter. He has been hauled to multiple arenas, has been shown at local horse shows in halter, showmanship, western pleasure, and trail. He has been patterned on barrels and poles and is starting to lope the barrel pattern. His bloodline traces back to the AQHA super horse Mr Baron Red from the Pitzer Ranch who was known for his roping ability. He would excel as a ranch horse, rope horse, trail riding partner, all around 4H or barrel horse. He was started right and is ready to be finished your way.
