Mrs. Jessie Jane is a 6-year-old mare and the kind of horse that everyone wishes to own being a dark bay with 4 white socks, but there just aren’t that many like her. She stands 15.2 hands and weighs 1100 lbs. and is ready to travel all day long if you need to. We have ridden her in the mountains, used her for packing camping gear and animals; and she crosses water and the dead fall easily. We rode her around the cows and roped off her in the pasture. She has even been ridden in the Spanish Fork Light Parade, just in front of some kind of “Fire breathing- Smoking- train engine float”. She handled the stress of everything so well. We have also had some fun days out pulling sleds in the snow for the young kids as well as the adults. We even like to take that Sunday stroll down the county roads with her. During the winter months we do a lot of arena riding, working on collection and learning the movements that all great horses need, like lead changes, side passing, stopping, and backing up are all done easily. Jane has even been used as a great resource to help a few young girls to learn how to ride in a controlled arena. She is honest enough to move when they ask her to. But also calm enough to stay in control for them. With a few internet searches on her pedigree, you will continue to see just how special she is. Being a Granddaughter of Frenchmans Guy, (earnings over 14 million), out of a mare who is by Mr. Eye Opener, (earnings over 28.2 million), on her top side of the pedigree. And a Granddaughter of Jesse James Jr (earnings over 13 million) out of a mare who is by Fishers Dash (earnings over 11.7 million) on the bottom side of the pedigree. She truly is one of those special horses that if someone ever wanted to have an outstanding brood mare; she would be irreplaceable for her pedigree alone. We have chosen not to run the barrels or start roping out of the box in the arena on her, because she has been so much fun riding the way that she has turned out, without getting her energy up. With all that said, Jane’s breeding says she would be great at any event that involves speed, if you decided to go in that direction. We really want anyone interested in her to come and ride Jane.
